After 16 months of design, skipper yoann Richomme’s monohull Paprec Arkéa left the Vannes yard. The boat settled in Lorient and was launched on february 22. His skipper Yoann Richomme is embarking on the IMOCA circuit for the first time (championship made up of the most prestigious single-handed, doublehanded and crewed events) with the objective of the Vendée Globe 2024.
The construction of this boat at Multiplast, Composites Distribution’s No.1 customer, required the use of no less than 35 references such as Preg Gurit SE84LV carbon (HR/IM), Hexcel dry carbon IM fabrics/multiaxials, Gurit Corecell foam and Sika and Gurit adhesives.
With its atypical cockpit, slender bow and foils, this powerful and elegant monohull is a concentrate of technology, ergonomics and optimisation.
