Our italian subsidiary Imatec, a specialist in the production of composite materials, confirmed its leadership last year in the production of honeycomb shock absorbers for Alstom Ferroviaria, the italian railway division of Alstom. The aluminium honeycomb, in case of impact, compresses up to 70% of its thickness absorbing the shock. First produced in 1998, Imatec absorbers are also used in automotive, industrial safety, elevators, dynamic testing, defense and aerospace.
