Towards a more resilient Industry through eco-design to Hexcut Services

EMC2, a French competitiveness cluster dedicated to innovation in the composites sector, recently launched its Gemstone+ project. This ambitious programme aims to support companies in their transition to eco-design, helping them to create products that are more respectful of the environment.

The Gemstone+ project focuses on supporting companies in incorporating ecodesign into their practices. This means rethinking a product’s life cycle, from design to end of life, to take environmental criteria into account. The aim is to minimise their ecological impact yet still maintain the same performance and competitiveness as other products on the market. The EMC2 cluster provides a range of resources, including analysis tools, training courses and workshops, to help businesses understand the benefits of eco-design.

Participating companies include Hexcut Services, a subsidiary of the Gazechim Composites Group, which specialises in cutting and processing solutions for composite materials. By taking part in this project, Hexcut Services is helping to build a more circular and sustainable economy.
